Tuscany and Vicinity

I always love to return to Florence and Tuscany, and have lived there for extended periods. I have walked and driven through many parts of Tuscany and neighboring provinces. Here are some favorite shots taken over the last 6 years.

Early Morning Walk around Le Barone, Chianti
Olive trees bordering a route to a farm, late fall in the Chianti. There was a drought that fall, so the pasture looks very dry.
Early morning in the Chianti region, somewhere between San Leolino and Volpaia. I discovered this dirt road exploring the previous day and knew I just had to return for an early "morning light" shooting. It took considerable gumption to get out before 8 Am on this fall day in late October... after a late night Italian dinner, but it was worth it.
I waited at least thirty or forty minutes, watching for the sky to open and just light up for a few very short minutes this hill before the sun disappeared for the rest of the day behind clouds.
